A nursery for West Kensington families, just down the road
If you live around West Kensington, you probably know North End Road well, whether that is the market on a Friday morning or the route you take to the tube. Blooming Years Nursery sits at the bottom of that road on Margravine Road, which makes it a genuinely practical choice for families in this part of W14. We would love to show you round and give you a proper feel for the place.
Why families choose us
Our approach
What parents tend to notice first when they visit is the atmosphere in the rooms. We have deliberately designed every space so that children can explore, make decisions and figure things out for themselves, rather than waiting to be told what to do. We think that is how confidence actually develops, not through praise for the right answer, but through children learning to trust their own thinking. That is the thread running through everything we do at Blooming Years.

In practice
The practical side matters just as much as the philosophy, and we try to get it right from the very beginning. Every child starts gradually, with sessions that increase at their own pace and a parent or carer present in those early days. We talk to you every single day during settling, and we hold termly one-to-ones so you always know where your child is and how they are getting on. We accept both 15 and 30 hours funded childcare, and we are Ofsted registered and look forward to welcoming our first inspection, which we are confident will match or beat the Good ratings across our other nurseries.

For families in West Kensington
For families in West Kensington, the morning routine here tends to work well in a way that is hard to explain until you have tried it. Many parents in this area commute into the City or the West End, and dropping off on North End Road before heading to the tube fits into that without adding stress to the start of the day. West Kensington is a neighbourhood where people know their streets, and we are glad to be a proper local option rather than something you have to travel out of your way for.

Things parents ask us
Common questions
Blooming Years Nursery is just a short distance from West Kensington, located at 2 Margravine Road, W6 8HL in Barons Court. Barons Court tube station is moments from our door and sits on both the District and Piccadilly lines, making the journey straightforward whether you are coming from West Kensington or commuting in from further across West London. For many families it works really well as a drop-off point on the way into central London.
Yes, we accept both the 15-hour and 30-hour government-funded childcare entitlements. The 15 hours is available to all three and four year olds, while the 30-hour offer is for eligible working families with three and four year olds, and some two year olds may also qualify depending on circumstances. We are happy to talk through what you are entitled to when you get in touch, as the funding can make a real difference to what you pay. Funded hours do not cover every session cost in every case, so we will always be straightforward with you about any additional charges.
We welcome children from three months old through to five years, so we can support families from the early months of returning to work right through to school age. Places, particularly for babies, are genuinely in demand and we would encourage you to get in touch as early as you can, even during pregnancy. We allocate places based on when enquiries are made and what spaces are available in each age room, so there is no formal waiting list process but timing does matter. Getting in touch to register your interest is always the right first step.
As a newly opened setting, we have not yet received our first Ofsted inspection, but we are fully Ofsted registered and look forward to welcoming our first inspection, which we are confident will match or beat the Good ratings across our other nurseries. In practice, being registered means we meet the legal requirements to operate and are subject to the same framework and standards as any inspected nursery. We would encourage any parent to ask us directly about our approach, our staff qualifications and how we run the nursery day, rather than waiting for a report to tell the story. We are proud of what we have built here and happy to be open about it.
When you visit, you will get a proper look around the nursery, meet some of the team and have time to ask whatever is on your mind. We are not rushing you through a sales pitch. If you decide Blooming Years is right for your child, we then work through a settling-in process that is paced around your child rather than a fixed timetable, typically involving a series of short visits that gradually build in length before their first full session. Every child responds differently, and we take that seriously rather than pushing families to a schedule that does not suit them.
