A nursery South Croydon families can get to easily

If you live along Coombe Road or closer to South Croydon station, Blooming Years on Heathfield Road is genuinely close by, which matters more than it sounds when you are managing school runs, work starts and everything else a morning involves. We are a small nursery with a clear philosophy, and parents tend to find that a visit answers most of their questions better than any website can. We would love to show you around.

Why families choose us

Our approach

What most parents notice first when they visit is not the rooms or the resources, it is the way the children are behaving. They are working things out, making decisions, trying again when something does not go their way. That is not an accident. We do not focus on teaching children what to think, we focus on teaching them how to think, and every activity, every interaction in the setting is built around that. Children leave us with a confidence in themselves that has nothing to do with what they have memorised.

In practice

The practical side matters just as much, and we take it seriously. Every child starts gradually, with sessions that increase at their own pace and a parent present in those first days, so there is no moment where your child feels dropped into something unfamiliar. We speak with you every day during settling in, and hold termly one-to-ones so you always know where things stand. We accept both 15 and 30 hours funded childcare, and we are Ofsted registered and look forward to welcoming our first inspection, which we are confident will match or beat the Good ratings across our other nurseries.

For families in South Croydon

Families from South Croydon often tell us that mornings feel manageable here in a way they did not expect. South Croydon tends to attract families where one or both parents commute into London, and the rhythm of those mornings, getting out of the house early, needing drop-off to be smooth and calm, shapes what parents want from a nursery. We understand that. A settled, unhurried drop-off makes the commute to London Bridge or Victoria feel much more straightforward, and that is something parents from this part of Croydon mention to us regularly.

What London families say

The families already with us can tell you more than we ever could.

  • My daughter attended Blooming Years for 3 years and I will be forever thankful for the amazing teachers for fostering a nurturing environment. This has provided her with brilliant foundations, enabling her confidence, curiosity and resilience to flourish. Thank you for loving her so much!

  • My son went from 1-4 yrs old. He loved it. The staff were patient and kind, offered such a variety of activities, helped him grow in confidence and independence and supported me when I had questions on a few things. He joined reception this year well prepared and ready for his next chapter. Thank you team.

  • Excellent nursery! We are so happy about it. I was so scared about the idea of not finding a good place for my little one. Then I have tried Blooming Years and my baby loves it. The teachers are qualified and they take care of every emotional aspect of the babies. I have visited a lot of nurseries but I never had the same warm feeling.
