Why families choose us
Our approach
Something parents tend to notice quite quickly when they visit us is that we are not trying to keep children busy. Every room, every activity and every interaction is set up to help children work things out for themselves. We do not teach children what to think. We teach them how to think. That distinction matters to us, and most parents find it matters to them too once they see it in practice.

In practice
The practical side is worth knowing about as well. Every child starts gradually, with sessions that build slowly and a parent present in the early days. We talk to you every day during settling in and hold a proper one-to-one each term so you are never left guessing about how your child is getting on. We accept both the 15-hour and 30-hour funded entitlements. We are Ofsted registered and look forward to welcoming our first inspection, which we are confident will match or beat the Good ratings across our other nurseries.

For families in Streatham
Streatham families tend to have mornings that move quickly. The High Road is busy early, Streatham station draws a commuting crowd, and many parents are working out how to get a child dropped off and still make it into work on time. Being this close to where you already travel means one less thing to reorganise. A number of our Streatham families tell us it fits naturally into a route they were already taking.

Things parents ask us
Common questions
Our nursery at 5 Hillside Road, SW2 3HL is very straightforward to reach from Streatham, whether you are travelling by public transport or car. We are well connected by local bus routes and within easy reach of Streatham Hill station, making the journey manageable even on busy mornings. If you are driving, street parking is available nearby for drop-off and collection.
Yes, we accept both the 15-hour universal entitlement and the 30-hour extended offer for eligible families. The 15 hours is available to all children aged 3 and 4, while the 30 hours is for working families who meet the government's income criteria. Funding covers your child's core session hours but does not include consumables, meals or additional hours beyond your entitlement. We are happy to walk you through what this means for your specific situation when you visit or get in touch.
We welcome children from 3 months up to 5 years old across our age-grouped rooms. Places, particularly for babies, do fill up well in advance, so we would encourage you to register your interest as early as you can, even during pregnancy. We allocate places based on when enquiries are received alongside any sibling priority, and we will always be honest with you about likely availability rather than make promises we cannot keep.
We are Ofsted registered and look forward to welcoming our first inspection, which we are confident will match or beat the Good ratings across our other nurseries. In practical terms, being Ofsted registered means we meet the required standards for safeguarding, staff qualifications, the learning environment and the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework. We run our nurseries to the same consistent standards regardless of where we are in the inspection cycle, because that is simply how we believe childcare should be done.
When you visit, you will have the chance to look around the rooms your child would use, meet some of the team and ask whatever questions are on your mind. There is no fixed script; we want it to feel like a genuine conversation rather than a tour. Once a place is confirmed, we use a gradual settling-in process where your child spends short, increasing periods with us before their official start date, always at a pace that suits them. We will keep you closely informed throughout and your child's key person will be introduced from the very beginning.
