“My daughter attended Blooming Years for 3 years and I will be forever thankful for the amazing teachers for fostering a nurturing environment. This has provided her with brilliant foundations, enabling her confidence, curiosity and resilience to flourish. Thank you for loving her so much!”

Nurseries in Southfields
Southfields has one of the strongest family communities in South West London, and parents here tend to put genuine thought into early years choices rather than going with whatever is closest. Blooming Years has two nurseries in Wimbledon, both reachable from Southfields in around ten minutes. Our Alexandra Road nursery has been here for twelve years and is rated Good by Ofsted. Our Broadway nursery opens this summer beside Wimbledon station, which is one stop from Southfields on the District line, and is taking registrations now for September 2026 with places available.

What London families say
The families already with us can tell you more than we ever could.
“My son went from 1-4 yrs old. He loved it. The staff were patient and kind, offered such a variety of activities, helped him grow in confidence and independence and supported me when I had questions on a few things. He joined reception this year well prepared and ready for his next chapter. Thank you team.”
“Excellent nursery! We are so happy about it. I was so scared about the idea of not finding a good place for my little one. Then I have tried Blooming Years and my baby loves it. The teachers are qualified and they take care of every emotional aspect of the babies. I have visited a lot of nurseries but I never had the same warm feeling.”

Things parents ask us
Common questions
From Southfields, our Alexandra Road nursery is around a ten minute drive via Wimbledon Park Road, or a District line journey to Wimbledon followed by a short walk. Our Broadway nursery at Broadway Court is right beside Wimbledon station, which is one stop from Southfields on the District line. For parents commuting onward after drop-off, Broadway is a particularly convenient option as the station is steps away.
Both are accessible from Southfields. Alexandra Road is a well-established nursery with twelve years in the Wimbledon community and an Ofsted Good rating. Our Broadway nursery at Broadway Court opens this summer right beside Wimbledon station, which is one District line stop from Southfields. If you commute through Wimbledon, Broadway may suit the morning timing better. Broadway is now taking registrations for September 2026 and places are available. Alexandra Road fills up, so if you want a September start, enquire about Broadway first.
Yes, both nurseries accept the 15-hour universal entitlement and the 30-hour extended offer for eligible families. The 15 hours is available from the term after your child's third birthday, and the 30 hours applies to working families who meet the government's income criteria. We will walk you through how funding would apply to your sessions when you come for a visit.
We welcome children from 3 months through to 5 years at both nurseries. At Broadway, opening this summer, places are available now for September 2026. At Alexandra Road, places fill up well in advance and we encourage families to enquire early. We will be honest about availability at both sites and give you a realistic picture of timescales.
A visit is a proper look at the nursery on an ordinary day. You will meet the team, see the rooms in use and have time to ask whatever is on your mind. You are welcome to visit both nurseries if you want to compare them. Settling in, if you go ahead, starts with you present and builds up gradually at your child's pace. We talk to you every day during the settling period and hold termly one-to-ones as things progress.
The best first step for families in Southfields is to book a tour - it gives you a chance to see the nursery, meet the team and ask any questions before committing to anything. Once you have visited and you are happy to go ahead, our online application form takes just a few minutes to complete. We will be in touch shortly after to confirm availability and next steps.
