Blooming Years has two nurseries in Wimbledon. Our setting on Alexandra Road has been here for twelve years and is rated Good by Ofsted. Our second nursery opens on Wimbledon Broadway this summer, a brand new build right beside the station, and is now taking registrations for September 2026 starts. Both nurseries follow the same curriculum, staffing approach and settling-in process, so the main consideration is location and availability. Our Alexandra Road nursery has been here for twelve years and is rated Good by Ofsted. It suits families coming from the residential streets south and east of the town centre. Our Broadway nursery is opening this summer at Broadway Court, right beside Wimbledon station, and is well positioned for families commuting onward into London after drop-off. Alexandra is popular and places fill up, so if you are hoping for a September 2026 start, we would suggest looking at Broadway first.
Yes, both nurseries accept the 15-hour universal entitlement and the 30-hour extended offer for eligible families. The 15 hours is available to all children from the term after their third birthday, while the 30 hours applies to working families who meet the government income criteria. We are happy to walk you through how funding would apply to your child's sessions and what, if anything, sits outside it.
We welcome children from 3 months old through to 5 years at both nurseries. Places, particularly for babies, fill up well in advance. At Alexandra Road, availability is limited and we would encourage families to enquire as early as possible. At Broadway, which opens this summer, we are now taking registrations for September 2026 starts and places are available. Get in touch and we will give you an honest picture of availability at both sites.
Our Alexandra Road nursery is rated Good by Ofsted, with twelve years of inspections behind it. Our Broadway nursery is a new setting opening this summer, so it is awaiting its first inspection. The curriculum, staffing ratios, settling-in process and day-to-day practice are consistent across both settings, so you are not taking a leap of faith. We are confident the Broadway inspection will reflect what families will already see when they visit.
You will get a proper look around the nursery, meet some of the team and have time to ask whatever is on your mind without feeling rushed. We do not do polished tours with a script. We want you to see how the children spend a normal day and feel genuinely informed before you make any decision. You are welcome to visit both nurseries if you want to compare them directly, and we can arrange both on the same day if that is easier.
