“My daughter attended Blooming Years for 3 years and I will be forever thankful for the amazing teachers for fostering a nurturing environment. This has provided her with brilliant foundations, enabling her confidence, curiosity and resilience to flourish. Thank you for loving her so much!”

Nurseries in Colliers Wood
Colliers Wood has a younger family demographic than many expect, and the Northern line connection makes Waterloo and the City straightforward for parents who commute. Blooming Years has two nurseries in Wimbledon, both a short drive or bus ride from Colliers Wood. Our Broadway nursery at Broadway Court opens this summer and is now taking registrations for September 2026, with places available. Our Alexandra Road nursery has been running for twelve years and is rated Good by Ofsted. We would be glad to show you either or both.

What London families say
The families already with us can tell you more than we ever could.
“My son went from 1-4 yrs old. He loved it. The staff were patient and kind, offered such a variety of activities, helped him grow in confidence and independence and supported me when I had questions on a few things. He joined reception this year well prepared and ready for his next chapter. Thank you team.”
“Excellent nursery! We are so happy about it. I was so scared about the idea of not finding a good place for my little one. Then I have tried Blooming Years and my baby loves it. The teachers are qualified and they take care of every emotional aspect of the babies. I have visited a lot of nurseries but I never had the same warm feeling.”

Things parents ask us
Common questions
From Colliers Wood, both Blooming Years nurseries are around a ten minute drive via the A24. Our Broadway nursery at Broadway Court sits right at the end of that route beside Wimbledon station, and Alexandra Road is a further two minutes. Colliers Wood station on the Northern line connects to South Wimbledon, and the 57 bus runs towards Wimbledon Broadway for families who prefer public transport. Most Colliers Wood families tell us the journey settles into a routine quickly.
Both are easy to reach from Colliers Wood, but our Broadway nursery at Broadway Court is marginally closer, sitting right at the top of the A24 beside Wimbledon station. It opens this summer and is taking registrations now for September 2026, so places are available. Our Alexandra Road nursery has twelve years of history here and is rated Good by Ofsted, but it is popular and places fill up. If you are looking for a September start, we would suggest visiting Broadway first.
Yes, both nurseries accept the 15-hour universal entitlement and the 30-hour extended offer for eligible families. The 15 hours is available from the term after your child's third birthday, and the 30 hours applies to working families who meet the government's income criteria. We are happy to talk through how funding would work for your sessions before you commit to anything.
We welcome children from 3 months old through to 5 years at both nurseries. At Broadway, which opens this summer, places are available now for September 2026 starts - we would encourage families to register interest sooner rather than later. At Alexandra Road, places fill up well in advance and we would always recommend getting in touch early. We will be honest about availability at both sites so you can make a clear-eyed decision.
When you visit, you will get a proper look around the nursery, meet the team and have time to ask whatever is on your mind. There is no script and no sales pressure. You are welcome to visit both nurseries in the same trip if you want to compare them directly, and we can arrange that easily. If you decide to go ahead, settling in is gradual, starting with you present and building up at your child's pace.
