Merton Park is one of those quietly lovely corners of south-west London where the streets are wide, the houses are Victorian and families tend to put down proper roots. Blooming Years has two nurseries in Wimbledon, both around ten minutes from Merton Park. Our Broadway nursery at Broadway Court opens this summer, right on Wimbledon Broadway beside the station, and is now taking registrations for September 2026 with places available. Our Alexandra Road nursery has been here for twelve years and is rated Good by Ofsted. We would be glad to show you round.

From Merton Park, both Blooming Years nurseries are around a ten to fifteen minute journey. Our Broadway nursery at Broadway Court is on Wimbledon Broadway beside the station, first on the route along Merton Road. Alexandra Road is a couple of minutes further. The 57 and 200 bus routes connect Merton Park to Wimbledon Broadway directly. Wimbledon station, right beside the Broadway nursery, serves the District line, tram and National Rail for families commuting onwards.
Both nurseries are a similar journey from Merton Park. Our Broadway nursery at Broadway Court is marginally closer and is opening this summer, taking registrations now for September 2026 with places available. Alexandra Road has been here for twelve years and is rated Good by Ofsted, but fills up quickly. If you are targeting a September 2026 start, we would suggest enquiring about Broadway first and visiting both if you want to compare.
Yes, both nurseries accept the 15-hour universal entitlement and the 30-hour extended offer for eligible families. The 15 hours is for all children aged 3 and 4, and the 30 hours is for eligible working families. We will walk you through the eligibility check and how funding applies to your sessions when you visit, so you know exactly what is covered before you commit.
We welcome children from 3 months old through to 5 years at both nurseries. At Broadway, opening this summer, places are available now for September 2026. At Alexandra Road, places fill up well in advance, particularly for the youngest age groups. We would encourage Merton Park families to get in touch as early as possible and we will always be honest about where you stand.
When you visit, we will show you around the nursery, introduce you to the staff and give you proper time to ask whatever is on your mind. There is no pressure and no sales script. You are welcome to visit both nurseries on the same trip if that helps. Settling in, if you go ahead, is gradual - starting with short visits alongside you and building up at your child's pace before their full start date.
