“My daughter attended Blooming Years for 3 years and I will be forever thankful for the amazing teachers for fostering a nurturing environment. This has provided her with brilliant foundations, enabling her confidence, curiosity and resilience to flourish. Thank you for loving her so much!”
Wimbledon Chase
A nursery worth the short trip from Wimbledon Chase
If you live around Wimbledon Chase station or along the Merton Park streets that feed onto Kingston Road, Blooming Years is closer than you might think. We have two nurseries in Wimbledon. Our Broadway nursery at Broadway Court opens this summer, just a short journey from Wimbledon Chase, and is taking registrations now for September 2026 with places available. Our Alexandra Road nursery has been here for twelve years and is rated Good by Ofsted. We would love to show you around so you can see which feels right.

What London families say
The families already with us can tell you more than we ever could.
“My son went from 1-4 yrs old. He loved it. The staff were patient and kind, offered such a variety of activities, helped him grow in confidence and independence and supported me when I had questions on a few things. He joined reception this year well prepared and ready for his next chapter. Thank you team.”
“Excellent nursery! We are so happy about it. I was so scared about the idea of not finding a good place for my little one. Then I have tried Blooming Years and my baby loves it. The teachers are qualified and they take care of every emotional aspect of the babies. I have visited a lot of nurseries but I never had the same warm feeling.”

Things parents ask us
Common questions
From Wimbledon Chase, both nurseries are around a ten to fifteen minute journey. Our Broadway nursery at Broadway Court sits right beside Wimbledon station and is the first you reach heading along Merton Road. Alexandra Road is a few minutes further. The 200 bus connects Wimbledon Chase to Wimbledon Broadway directly if you prefer not to drive, and Wimbledon station, close to both nurseries, serves the District line, tram and National Rail.
Our Broadway nursery at Broadway Court is marginally closer, sitting at the top of Merton Road beside Wimbledon station. It opens this summer and is taking registrations now for September 2026 with places available. Alexandra Road is a couple of minutes further and has been here for twelve years, rated Good by Ofsted. If you are looking for a September 2026 start, Broadway is worth enquiring about first as Alexandra Road fills up quickly.
Yes, both nurseries accept the 15-hour universal entitlement and the 30-hour extended offer for eligible families. The 15 hours is available from the term after your child's third birthday, while the 30 hours is for working families who meet the government's income criteria. We are happy to walk you through what the funding covers and how it applies to your sessions.
We welcome children from 3 months right through to 5 years at both nurseries. At Broadway, opening this summer, places are available now for September 2026. At Alexandra Road, places fill up well in advance, so early enquiries genuinely matter. We will always be honest with you about availability at both sites rather than have you guessing.
When you visit, you will be shown around the rooms, meet the team and have a proper conversation at your own pace. You are welcome to visit both nurseries on the same trip if you want to see both. Settling in, if you go ahead, is gradual - starting with parents present and building up over a period that suits your child rather than a fixed schedule.
The best first step for families in Wimbledon Chase is to book a tour - it gives you a chance to see the nursery, meet the team and ask any questions before committing to anything. Once you have visited and you are happy to go ahead, our online application form takes just a few minutes to complete. We will be in touch shortly after to confirm availability and next steps.
